Itinerary
Day 2
Harder Kulm
One of the top things to do in Interlaken is the Harder Kulm. Take in the breathtaking views from Harder Kulm. At 1,322 metres above sea level, it is a vantage point. One of the best panoramic views of Interlaken and Untersee is found there. You have two options for getting to this vantage point: foot or by funicular. You can see the Jungfrau, the Monch, and the Eiger from the heights. You can also find the Zwei-see-steg, a suspended deck with stunning views, at the top of Harder Kulm.
Hohematte
Go for a stroll in Hohematte. In Interlaken, Hohematte is the top attraction. The park known as Hohematte is situated in the centre of Interlaken. There are vast stretches of grassland, and you can get fantastic views of the Alps. For those who dare to experience the sports land here, it is possible to take a paragliding ride. An ice skating rink is also accessible in the winter.
Additionally, there are tiny rest areas with benches, vibrant flowers, shops, and eateries. You can take in the beauty of nature while unwinding and relaxing.
Schynige Platte
Schynige Platte is where you will stop next. The Bernese Alps contain the mountain ridge known as Schynige Platte. A charming alpine botanical garden is found at the base of the railroad tracks. Relish a stroll along its circular paths while enjoying the spectacular view of the Brienz and Thun lakes.
It provides a breathtaking vista of Lake Brienz and the Alps. You must depart from Wilderswil and travel there on the old cog railway.
During your meal, you can take pictures of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau mountains from a classic Swiss restaurant with a lovely terrace.
A boat ride on Lake Brienz
One of the two lakes surrounding Interlaken is Lake Brienz, where you can take a boat ride through its clear waters. The mountains can be seen uniquely from the lake, standing against turquoise water. The Giessbach Falls, a breathtaking waterfall that plunges right into the lake, are accessible during the stroll.
A boat ride on Lake Brienz
Jungfraujoch, one of the most exciting places to visit, is your final stop. The highest train station in Europe is Jungfraujoch, situated at 3,454 metres, just below the Jungfrau massif's peak. From there, a rack railway travels through the Swiss Alps, traversing stone tunnels and incredible scenery.
Overnight stay in Interlaken.
Day 3
Travel to Lucerne
Arrive at your hotel, eat, and unwind before beginning your adventure. Learn everything there is to know about Lucerne. Enjoy the nearby locations, stroll around the Riddle Escape Games, admire the stunning Pont Spreuer, and, if you have time, go shopping and gather some memories. Try to eat at the best restaurant for dinner.
Overnight stay in Lucerne.
Day 4
Chapel Bridge
Every single visitor to the city should cross the Chapel Bridge. A mainstay of the waterfront scenery of the city, it is the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe. This bridge dates to the fourteenth century and is lined with seventeenth-century art. Sadly, all but 30 of these paintings were destroyed by fire in 1993, making the ones that still exist even more unique.
Jesuit Church
Go to the Jesuit Church, Lucerne's most prominent landmark, after crossing the chapel bridge. The Jesuit Church of Lucerne was established to prevent Swiss Catholics from converting to Protestantism. Its onion-shaped towers are difficult to miss because they were constructed in phases between the 16th and 19th centuries. Once you enter the church and see its delicate and elaborate interior, it becomes clear what its real highlight is.
Old Town
The old town is your next point of interest. Spend all your time in Lucerne by the river and lake and meander through the old town. The Swiss city of Lucerne is located on the north side of the Reuss River. Traditional Alpine homes and a few half-timbered homes are abundant in the Old Town. You may be surprised by what you see as you stroll through its maze of tiny streets and alleys. Their front facades are decorated by the frescoes he painted. Most of these frescoes have somewhat faded with time, but there are a few occasionally striking modern murals.
Lion Monument
After exploring the Old Town, make your way into the city's modern area by ascending a gentle slope in search of the Lion Monument.
The Lion Monument in Lucerne honours Swiss Guards who died while on duty during the French Revolution. This monument, built in 1821, has a relief carving of a dying lion standing over a still pond. It is a moving memorial to the fallen soldiers and a must-see attraction in Lucerne.
Old City Walls
It's time to move on to explore what is left of Lucerne's Old City Walls, which are connected by nine towers. Tourists can freely access the Zytturm clocktower and the other four remaining towers. You can get even higher up for better views on the viewing platform at the Männli Tower. Once you've ascended one of the towers, you can stroll along a brief segment of the city walls and enjoy the best views of Lucerne.
Sammlung Rosengart
Sammlung Rosengart is your final stop in Lucerne. The Sammlung Rosengart art museum is the most accessible and conceivably the most fascinating because it is home to a collection of Pablo Picasso's works. The majority of the artwork in the museum is by Picasso, but there are also numerous pieces by many other Impressionist and Modernist artists. Do not miss it.
Overnight stay in Lucerne.
Day 5
