- The best time to visit Interlaken is from June to September from June to August.
- The weather remains comfortable at 18°C to 20°C.

The Best Places to Visit in Interlaken
Harder Kulm
- A funicular can take you up Interlaken's mountain in less than ten minutes.
- In that little time, you'll have climbed over 730 metres in a car with huge windows that allow you to take in the full grandeur of the mountainous scenery.
- From Lake Brienz and Lake Thun far below to the adjacent Emmental Alps and the sky-scraping Bernese Alps like Eiger and Jungrau in the distance, a thrilling sight will be spread out before you at the upper station, at an elevation of 1322 metres.
- The glass-floored viewing platform projects over the slope, and there's also a Romantic medieval-style panoramic café up here.
Schynige Platte
- Wilderswil, on the outskirts of Interlaken, is the northern terminal of a 115-year-old rack railway that travels through the Bernese Alps.
- The Schynige Platte Railway remains one of Switzerland's highest railways, with stunning views of peaks and mountain pastures.
- Schynige Platte, a ridge on the Schwarzhorn mountain at 2,000 metres, is the last destination.

Lake Brienz

Lake Thun
