Get lost on the streets of Stone Town.
Start your eight-days Zanzibar itinerary and admiring the beautiful architecture that stands at the crossing of Swahili, Arab and Indian cultures. The Zanzibar is the door for the most impressive feature of Stone Town. You can go on a Stone Town walking tour with a guide and learn a lot about the local cultures, traditions and history. Spend your hours getting lost in the narrow streets drinking delicious smoothies eating traditional food at the local bars, shopping, and just feeling the local vibing.
Day 3
Trip to Safari Blue.
A full day sailing, snorkelling and sunbathing on a traditional dhow and seafood barbecue. Setting sail from Fumba, you will explore Menai Bay dolphins that are often sighted. When dropping the anchor at the Kwale sandbank, you can snorkel the coral reefs. At Kwale is an island be served a buffet of grilled fish, lobster, calamari, chicken, and coconut rice. The boat sails to a beautiful natural nature where lagoons have an opportunity to swim before the day is over and back to town for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 4
Take the boat from Stone Town and disembark on Changuu Island.
Known as Prison Island, although it has never been an actual prison, the island has played different roles throughout history: Today, now they are used as a hotel and restaurant, offering tourists the chance to stay here and visit the old cells. The British Governor of Seychelles had sent a gift of 4 Aldabra giant tortoises to Changuu. Since then, they have had fluctuations in the numbers but are currently protected since they are considered vulnerable.
Day 5
Go on a spice tour and ride a Dala Dala to the beach
One of the most incredible experiences we had in Zanzibar was going on a spice tour. Before doing that, we had no idea about the magical world of spices, and honestly, the way they grow is a mystery. In the end, you can have your lunch with some local traditional dishes, discussed with the locals, and had some coconuts directly from the tree. Once you're done with the spice experience, you'll want to take a traditional local Dala Dala car and head to one of the beautiful beaches on the island.
Day 6
Trip to Dolphin Watching Tour
On a day trip to Kizimkazi, you may swim with hundreds of spinner & bottlenose dolphins playing off Kizimkazi beach & give you to experience natural freedom. Jozani Forest is known for its red colobus monkeys, which are endemic to Zanzibar. You might catch a glimpse of various species like Monkeys, Bush Pigs, Duiker Antelopes, Elephant Shrews, Chameleons, and numerous birds. You will be back in town for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 7
Explore the underwater world
You don't have to be a professional swimmer when thinking about trying to do some snorkelling; I have learned how to use the snorkelling mask without swallowing the whole ocean come to enjoy the experience.
