Itinerary
Day 2
Disney Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is a close look at the natural world and the 4th Disney park. It opened on Earth Day and is dedicated to protecting the natural environment and animal conservation, themes that were very close to Mr Disney's heart. The centrepiece of the park is the iconic Tree of Life - a 145-foot-tall, 50-foot-wide artificial baobab tree. A towering symbol of us on planet Earth are connected. It is the largest theme park globally, covering 580 acres, but in reality, for most visitors, it does not typically take as much time to see as Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. When the sun rises over the Savannah, you'd better be there earlier! Disney animals love the cooler mornings, not the midday heat, so rise and shine. There are lots to explore – over 1700 animals across 250 species!
Day 3
Epcot
Expect a full day at Epcot ( Every Person Comes Out Tired!), as it's two parks in one, shaped like a giant figure eight. The park is as educational as it is entertaining, along with Disney characters never too far away! Originally named Epcot Center, the park was inspired by an unrealized idea developed by Mr Disney. Epcot opened on October 1, 1982, and reach a total of 300 acres - that's more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom park. It's dedicated mainly to the celebration of human achievement, namely technological innovation and international culture. The park is divided into two sections - Future World & World Showcase.
Day 4
Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom Park was the first of the four theme parks to open at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando way back in 1971. It combines the pure magic of childhood fairy tales with exciting entertainment, classic attractions, beloved Disney Characters, and so much more. At least one very full day and a comfortable pair of shoes are required! Reach before the gates open to get ahead of the crowds. The Magic Kingdom Park is by far the busiest, so a plan of attack is essential. It's shaped like a giant pizza with seven lands (slices!) and that world-famous castle in the centre - it's typically the most visited theme park in the USA.
Day 5
Typhoon Lagoon
The back story to Typhoon Lagoon is the tale of a massive storm and a ship stranded high on a mountain by a giant wave – who knew! This 56-acre tropical tanning zone is blessed with a vast 4-foot surf wave that runs the entire length of an extensive lagoon every few minutes. Unlike the long lines riders have to endure for the Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, and the like, the wave pool's calm waters seem to help keep everyone mellowed out, even on sweltering and humid Florida afternoons. That's part of the appeal of Typhoon Lagoon - it's a great place to lounge in the water, chill on a lounge chair and get some sand between your toes. The immersive tropical theme and lush landscaping everywhere you look helps reinforce that.
Day 6
Disney Springs
Disney Springs is a vast re-imagination of Downtown Disney that roughly doubled the size of the existing area, with more dining, shopping and entertainment options. It's destined to be a genuinely fantastic place featuring an eclectic mix of unique boutiques, one-of-a-kind eateries and jaw-dropping entertainment that will have you be amazed where the day end. With over 150 different stores, restaurants and entertainment venues planned, Disney Springs features four distinct neighbourhoods - The Landing, Marketplace, West Side and Town Center - all built around bubbling 'mouse made' springs.
Day 7
Discovery Cove
Still, if you're looking for a day of pure relaxation and want to treat yourself, this is the perfect place to go. Discovery Cove is an idyllic paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the parks, where you can relax on the white sandy beach and laze the day away. Leaving Discovery Cove until the later part of your holiday not only gives you something to look forward to but also gives you a needed break. It can be nice to take a day in between all the theme park fun for a more relaxing day, and Discovery Cove offers just that. Of course, that's all you can do here. Guests can enjoy a once in a lifetime swim with beautiful dolphins, explore the colourful reef, and discover sharks and tropical fish in Seaventure- the underwater walking tour.
Day 8
Tick Something Off Your Bucket List
Orlando's theme parks are some of the best in the world, but there's plenty more to see outside of the gardens. Why not end your holiday on a high with an unforgettable air balloon flight over Orlando? If you're not keen on taking to the skies yourself, watch the professionals do it and witness a tremendous live rocket launch at the Kennedy Space Center. For something fun for the whole family, embark on a road adventure through 240-acres of woodlands. If you'd prefer something more relaxing, spend this day visiting one of Florida's beautiful beaches instead. Soak up the sun on Clearwater Beach and for an even more spectacular experience.
Hotels
Disney's All-Star Music Resort
Enjoy a pleasant stay at this music-themed hotel, celebrating jazz, country, rock'n'roll and Broadway show tunes. This vibrant hotel celebrates everything with musical vibes. You'll feel the vibe and tune with the place throughout your stay, with touches like the giant musical instruments in the decors, musical themed dining at the Intermission Food Court, and even a pool shaped like a grand piano. Close to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the Resort is an excellent value and Disney Magic combination. All-Star Music 3-star resort has two pools. The largest, Calypso Pool, sits directly behind the Melody Hall lobby and food court, between the two buildings dedicated to the genre of the same name.
At 260 square feet, standard rooms at the All-Star Resorts are tiny—the same size as those at Pop Century Resort and slightly smaller than Art of Animation's shared spaces. The refurbished rooms have two queen-sized beds and one of which folds Murphy-style into the wall. The older rooms have two double beds, or one king bedroom have a mini-fridge, coffee maker, a separate vanity area, table and chairs. The 192 suites measure roughly 520 square feet in the Jazz and Calypso Buildings, slightly larger than the cabins at Fort Wilderness but marginally smaller than Art of Animation's Family Suites. Each suite, formed from two formerly separate rooms, includes a kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. Sleeping accommodations include a queen bed in the bedroom, a pullout sleeper sofa, a chair bed, and an ottoman bed.
