Itinerary
Day 2
Placa de Catalunya
Catalonia Square, the city's vibrant centre, is a great place to start your day in Barcelona. At the intersection of many significant thoroughfares is where you'll find Placa de Catalunya. One of Barcelona's most prominent retail centres is located there, making it a well-liked shopping district. Have your breakfast most famous restaurant Cafe Zurich.
Passeig de Gracia
The Block of Discord, which includes Gaudi's Casa Batllo, may be seen by strolling up Passeig de Gracia Boulevard. At the beginning of the 19th century, Barcelona's aristocracy used the Passeig de Gracia as a showcase. This boulevard is an actual outdoor museum thanks to the presence of modernist architecture. Horse-drawn carriages can still be heard, and early trams can still be smelled with a bit of imagination.
Casa Mila
Pere Mila and Roser Segimon commissioned Antoni Gaudi to design the Casa Mila (1906–1922), which stands today. Since it was the family Mila's new residence, the name "Casa Mila" was given to it. The couple occupies the first floor, and the remaining apartments are rented.
Due to its innovative constructional and practical design and artistic and decorative solutions, Casa Mila is Antoni Gaudi's most recognisable piece of municipal architecture.
La Sagrada Familia
Visit the breathtaking creation of Gaudi. Construction stopped after Gaudi's death in 1926 and didn't pick up again until the 1950s. There are now eight towers and two facades under construction. By 2026, construction should be finished on the church, which features five naves and a Latin Cross-shaped crossing. The towers are reachable by elevator for visitors. Nature-inspired designs and Baroque flourishes are used to decorate the facade.
Park Guell
One more of Antoni Gaud's best-known creations is Park Guell. Only two of the original sixty homes envisioned as part of the housing complex were ultimately built. The entrance houses and collonaded pathways were among the public places that were constructed, nevertheless.
Magic fountain
Then, you can visit the Magic Fountain, built in 1929, for the Barcelona International Exhibition. The fountain was harmed during the Spanish Civil War and wasn't operational until 1955. The fountains were given music in the 1980s, which made the water "dance" to the tunes and changed the lighting displays.
Flamenco Concert & Dinner
Enjoy the sensual Spanish dance after dinner.
