Itinerary
Day 2
Explore the medieval Castle of Paphos
Cyprus's medieval fortification is constructed during the Byzantine era to guard the city's harbour.
It was passed down and destroyed by several dynasties, including the Lusignans, Venetians, and, ultimately, the Ottomans. It is a beautiful castle that is always open to visitors, barring federal holidays.
Admire the Tombs of Kings
Next, go to the Kings' Tombs. This archaeological site dates to 31 BC and has been recognised by UNESCO. Explore the intriguing history, and ruins found here. It is advised to visit this location early in the day before the sun becomes too hot and the crowds of tourists arrive. The opening hours are 8:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and there is a €2.50 entry fee.
Visit the Laona
You can head to Laona in the Old Town for authentic cuisine after visiting the ruins at the Tomb of the Kings. Authentic Cypriot delicacies like stuffed lamb and lawar are famous at this Greek and Mediterranean restaurant. You should visit this restaurant just for the fantastic food and old-world ambience.
To the Beach
After a fruitful day spent learning about Cyprus' rich history, it could be a good idea to cool off at the city's beaches. Coral Bay, Latchi Beach, and Blue Flag Vrysoudia Beach are just a few of Paphos' breathtaking beaches.
Day 3
Visit Troodos Mountains
Visit Cyprus' incredible mountain range, the Troodos Mountains, which are home to several tranquil villages and ancient monasteries that date back to the Byzantine era. This region, roughly 70 kilometres away, is a beautiful day trip location.
Kykkos Monastery, Tzelefos Bridge, and Mongari Village are a few must-see attractions in this region.
Go Scuba diving
Scuba diving is a fantastic way to spend an evening in Cyprus. You can get intimate with the colourful variety of marine life in the Mediterranean Sea due to how translucent the water is.
Day 4
Discover the Akamas Peninsula
The Akamas Peninsula trip is the ideal way to spend the day. This national park, which can be reached by car in just 1.5 hours from Paphos, features gorgeous beaches far from civilisation and breathtaking natural settings.
While you're here, you should also visit the Avakas Gorge, the Blue Lagoon, the Baths of Aphrodite, and the hiking trails. The Greek goddess Aphrodite is said to have been born at Aphrodite's Rock. The crystal-clear waters surrounding the rock are ideal for swimming. Another excellent activity is to unwind at Lara Beach, where you can see some baby turtles before going again.
Stroll around the Avakas Gorge
Hiking down the Avakas Gorge in Paphos is a lovely way to spend the day if you like the outdoors and nature. The Cyprus wheatear, Cyprus warbler, iridescent frog, and Cyprus scops owl are just a few uncommon plants and creatures that may be seen along this 8.2-kilometre trail located close to the Akamas Peninsula's beginning.
Go to Yiannis Sandwiches
Suppose you get hungry while on the Peninsula. Stop by Yiannis Sandwiches. Even the locals adore this eatery since it is inexpensive and incredibly delicious.
Relax at Lara beach
A bit further south, at Lara Beach, you can view hatchling sea turtles depending on the time of year. Visit a gorgeous beach and go swimming.
Day 5
Explore Ledra street or old town
An abundance of stores, eateries, cafes and tourist attractions are found on Ledra Street, or the Old Town, a pedestrian-only street. Ledra, a former kingdom that once occupied the area where Nicosia now stands, is honoured by the name of this important commercial area in the nation's capital. The UN Buffer Zone includes a brief section of Ledra Street before the Turkish section of the capital city starts. An excellent opportunity to learn about Cyprus's art, crafts, and culture while also learning about its complex past with Turkey is to go (window) shopping on Ledra Street.
Adore the Leventis Museum
Travel down Duck and into the Levantis Museum to thoroughly immerse yourself in historical and ancient Cypriot artworks, including pictures, pottery, maps, costumes, artefacts, gems, and more. From the Chalcolithic period, which began in 3,000 BC, to the present, this museum chronicles Nicosia's long history and demonstrates the social evolution of the city. The museum's exhibits are organised chronologically, and visitors can browse a gift store and a small library.
Day 6
Visit St. Hilarion Castle
You should start your excellent day trip in the capital city. Saint Hilarion Castle is only 30 kilometres north of Nicosia in the Kyrenia mountain range. Of the three castles in the Kyrenia Highlands, this is the one that has been preserved the best. This castle provides a tranquil retreat with amazing views of the surrounding mountain range.
Discover the Buyuk Han
Visit Buyuk Han, a former travellers' inn that has been transformed into a unique marketplace. This inn was initially constructed by the Ottomans and, after that, handed down by several emperors. The beautiful mosque is located in the centre of the inn. It is now a thriving Centre for arts and culture because of the numerous galleries and workshops. There are various courtyard cafes and businesses where you may browse for distinctive and genuine mementoes or keepsakes.
Enjoy the Venetian Fortifications
Initially constructed in the Middle Ages, Nicosia's defensive walls are mostly still in place today. The three gates and eleven bastions give the city great photo possibilities and a glimpse into the past of the few perfect Renaissance cities that still exist.
Day 7
Exploring Larnaca
View Hala Sultan Tekke
Go to the Hala. A significant mosque called Sultan Tekke is connected to Cyprus's first Arab invasion in 647 AD. This monument, constructed in the typical Ottoman architectural style, now houses calligraphy from various eras.
Admire the Larnaca Salt Lake
On the Salt Lakes near Larnaca, you can observe pink flamingos floating. A constellation of four shrimp-filled lakes makes up the unusual lakes, where tens of thousands of colourful flamingos congregate to feast. Larnaca's four interconnected salt lakes are significant wetlands where migrating birds, such as cranes, gulls, and flamingos, rest during winter.
See the Skala or Old Turkish Quarter
Next, entering Larnaca's Skala, or Old Town, is an adventure from another planet. This area of Larnaca's winding cobblestone streets is a perfect location to practice your Instagram skills and buy bohemian Greek and Turkish trinkets like ceramics and sea sponges.
Visit Ayia Napa Excursions
Visit the stunning Sea Cave feature along the coast at Cape Greco National Park by taking a short 45-minute trip from Larnaca to Ayia Napa. You can float in their glistening turquoise water and explore amazing rock tunnels, bridges, and caverns that can reach 80 metres below the surface.
To Kazani Traditional Tavern
At the Kazani Traditional Tavern, you may have your shrimp feast after a full day of sightseeing. This restaurant is renowned for its unique interior design in blue and white, with checkered tables, green plants, and sporadic rustic decor strewed about, in addition to their delectable meals.
Day 8

It's time to depart from this lovely location; Cyprus awaits your next journey.
