Day 2
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before checking out of the hotel and departing for Sigiriya/Dambulla. Take in the scenery on the drive from Colombo to Sigiriya. On your journey, you will pass through major cities such as Kandy, Negombo, and Matale. Kandy is, without a doubt, the most visited city along the route. Polonnaruwa is a historic city in Sri Lanka. Polonnaruwa, the former location of Sri Lanka's second mediaeval capital, enchants visitors with a timeless representation of the country's illustrious past. On the east coast of the historic artificial lake, Parakrama Samudraya, are charming landscapes dotted with important archaeological monuments that have all been conserved.
The sites are a bit too overwhelming to see solely on foot, so peddling one's way around them is the ideal way to see and appreciate their archaic splendour. Those who aren't very interested in history can prefer to visit one of the several national wildlife parks close to Polonnaruwa and enjoy viewing the local species in their undisturbed natural habitats.

The island's most fantastic single wonder is the 5th-century 'Fortress in the Sky' built by King Kasyapa. Because of the enormous lion that once stood at the fortress's entryway, it is also known as Lion Rock. The enormous rock rises to over 500 feet within its triple-moated defence. The ruins of a large, opulent palace with gardens and a swimming pool may still be seen at its peak. Galle is the major city on the south coast, and its oldest landmark is the massive 17th-century Portuguese and Dutch Fort, which houses the central city. There are strong Dutch influences in the architecture along the streets, as well as some old British residences and various mosques with Arabic touches. Galle The port of Galle, which some belief to be the Biblical city of Tar shish, exemplifies the strength of the Dutch presence in Sri Lanka. Built-in 1663, the 36-hectare (89-acre) Dutch Fort has withstood the test of time.
Turtle Hatchery - The Ahungalla hatchery in the Southern province was one of the first attempts to save local turtles from extinction. The Ahangama hatchery, run by the Sri Lanka Wildlife Protection Society, provides a unique wildlife experience. Visitors can observe newborn turtles and some rare adult turtle species, such as the Olive Ridley, Hawksbill, Green Turtle, Loggerhead, and Leatherback, swimming around the massive tanks as they beat their flippers against the water.
Day 7
Wake up to a beautiful day in a beautiful setting. Swim in the pool, relax and explore the nearby area of the hotel. Spend the day at your leisure.
Day 8
