On day three of your adventure, you'll start your day with a journey over the Outeniqua Pass to George, the sixth oldest city in South Africa. This historical town boasts many landmarks, including the Slave Tree and the King Edward VII Library building, known as the best example of Edwardian architecture in the town.
The tour continues to the attractive holiday resort of Wilderness before arriving in Knysna, known as the oyster box of South Africa. This picturesque town is set on the banks of an attractive lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route.
Your next stop is the magical Knysna Forests, the impressive ground of the elusive Knysna elephants. The legends of the gold found the elephants hunted to extinction and the woodcutters who worked the woodlands. The highlight of your forest adventure will be a visit to the Dalene Matthee Big Tree Memorial, an enormous Yellowwood tree of over 880 years named after the best-known author of four books on the Knysna Forest.

Next, you'll drive past the Regina Mundi Church, an essential landmark in the township's history of resistance against apartheid. We'll then arrive at Vilakazi Street, Soweto's most famous street, where Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu once lived.
