  • Lima is best visited between December and April.
  • Because Lima is located in the Southern Hemisphere, these months provide warm summer weather (sometimes upward of 80 degrees).
  • Because of its location as a coastal desert, the city experiences moderate temperatures all year, very little rainfall, and plenty of high humidity.
  • If you visit Lima during the cooler months of May through November, you're likely to encounter what locals call la garua: a thick misty sea fog that hangs over the city along with overcast skies.
