  • With the help of the Danish king, the construction of a new church, which was necessary, started in 1618. Olluff Madsen oversaw the construction.
  • Bricks constructed the structure from Nättraby and limestone and granite from Oland.
  • Although it was not yet finished, the church was given the name Holy Trinity Church when it was first opened in 1624.
  • The church is a historically accurate structure with a tower with a stepped gable and a nave with transepts.
  • The nave is somewhat parallel to confirm the church structure to the previous town layout.
  • The only structure from Kristianopel's prime as a city is the church.
