Kärnan
- This tower on high ground behind the city centre is one of the final pieces of the city's castle and is an enduring emblem for Helsingborg.
- It was built by the Danes in the 1300s and was the site of a tug of war between the two states throughout the turbulent 17th century.
- The castle was demolished once it officially fell into Swedish hands in 1679 because it was difficult to resist, leaving just this 34-metre keep.
- Ships navigating the Sound used the tower as a navigational aid.
- An audio guide is included with admission, and you can climb the tower's 146 steps for a view of Helsingr across the river.
Sofiero
- Regular buses run to this opulent royal residence and grounds, located five kilometres north of the city.
- Crown Prince Oscar of Sweden and his wife Sopia of Nassau built this Neo-Renaissance castle between the 1860s and 1870s.
- Gustaf VI Adolf and Crown Princess Margaret, who received the palace as a wedding gift in 1905, are responsible for the current appearance of the castle and grounds.
- They not only renovated the building but also planted the gardens' trademark rhododendron shrubs.
- There are just about 500 kinds in total and contemporary art projects.
- The palace features a restaurant and a cafe and hosts exhibitions on occasion.
Sankta Maria Kyrka
- Beginning in the 12th century in the Romanesque style, this church in the heart of Helsingborg grew to be one of Denmark's largest by the 14th century.
- When the brick facade and crow-stepped roofs were completed in the 1500s, the Romanesque style was modified into Gothic.
- The baptismal font, carved from grey Gotland limestone in the 1300s, is one of several fascinating mediaeval pieces.
- The altar cabinet, which dates from roughly the same time and features images from Mary's and Jesus' lives on its doors, is an actual work of art.
- During December, these transform into nativity scenes.

- A Tura is an opportunity to sit in the ship's restaurant and soak in the sea views at your leisure, as the voyage only takes about 20 minutes.
- At busier times of the year, such as Christmas and the height of summer, people book far in advance, and the beer and champagne flow freely.
