  • The Canary Islands are a gorgeous archipelago that is very stunning to explore.
  • It's interesting to note that it's part of Spain, but it's closer to Morocco, making for a pleasant holiday.
  • Though it is not simply the sun that makes the Canary Islands so remarkable, there is also a wealth of natural beauty and culture concealed across the islands, including Gran Canaria.
  • The Canaries now consist of around seven large islands, with Gran Canaria being one of the largest.
  • This makes it a rather large island to explore, and you could easily spend seven days (or longer) doing so.
  • Some individuals have preconceived notions about what a holiday in Gran Canaria entails.
  • You could not be more wrong about boozy bars, crowded beaches, and never-ending hangovers!
  • Yes, there is a nightlife and bar scene, as there is in many places, but the island's rich tradition and gorgeous surroundings are occasionally overwhelmed by this.

  • A 3-mile hike is now one of the shortest (4.2 km, approximately).
