Emin Gjiku Ethnographic Museum
- The Kosovan Historical Museum is built in two Ottoman mansions that are magnificently maintained and surrounded by an extensive walled garden.
- To better understand Kosovar culture, the staff will take you on a fascinating tour of both sites, pointing out the different distinctive pieces of clothing, weapons, jewellery, and household objects on exhibition at the museum.
Sultan Mehmet Fatih Mosque
- Around 1461, Mehmed the Conqueror had the 'imperial mosque' constructed on his instructions.
- It was once a mosque before being converted to a Catholic church during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and then back to a mosque after WWII.
- The minaret was destroyed following an earthquake in 1955, but it is presently being rebuilt.

- The Goddess on the Throne has been recognised as Pristina's icon. Both Albanians and Serbs in Kosovar culture have a solid patriarchal heritage, with extended families living in massive groupings.
- Although unique, the cultural lifestyles of Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo are strikingly similar to those of Albanians and Serbs in Albania and Serbia, respectively.
- The majority of individuals in Kosovo's mostly secular culture dress in Western attire. Although, in general, Muslim women and girls do not wear headscarves.
- Fli, a pancake-like pastry covered with cream and yoghurt, and pite, a phyllo pastry filled with cheese, meat, or vegetables, are two traditional meals.
- The deep-fried dough puffs eaten with yoghurt and garlic or honey are called llokuma (often translated as "wedding doughnuts").
- Many elder Albanian men still wear the traditional brimless white cap or plis.
