Best Months to Visit Berlin
- The Berlin weather is pleasant enough for leisurely city strolls and lunch on outdoor patios, making it the best season to visit Berlin from May through October.
- Because May through October are the busiest travel months, airfare and hotel rates will be higher.
- Because lines are shorter and crowd less obstruct vistas, the best periods to visit Berlin for sightseeing are late spring to early summer and late summer to early autumn.
- The ambience in the streets is still pretty active, and the Berlin weather is delightfully mild and often bright.

The Best Places to Visit in Berlin
BERLIN VICTORY COLUMN
- Our first Berlin highlight, the Berlin Victory Column, rises high over the German capital's rooftops, boasts a distinctive location, and gleams with gold.
- The "Goldelse," as Berlin residents lovingly refer to it, is one of Germany's most prominent national monuments commemorating Germany's unification in the nineteenth century.
- It is accessible via underground tunnels and is placed at the Großer Stern (Great Star) in the Großer Tiergarten (famous inner-city park).
- The Victory Column can usually be climbed as well.
- A beautiful view of the Berlin Tiergarten and the Berlin skyline awaits you once you reach the summit. Recommended!
BERLIN POTSDAMER PLATZ
- Our next stop is Potsdamer Platz, only a few metres away from the Victory Column.
- The buildings, traffic, and the hustle and bustle of Berlin's Potsdamer Platz evoke a sense of New York right in the city's heart.
- Potsdamer Platz was one of the critical border places during the German partition.
- Only a few portions of the Berlin Wall exist today to remind us of the city's split at the time.
- Of course, a stroll around the Sony Center is a must-do when visiting Potsdamer Platz.
- The glass roof is stunning during the day and especially at night.
BERLIN BRANDENBURG GATE
- Without the famed Brandenburg Gate, Berlin would not be Berlin.
- The Gate is a well-known monument in Berlin with a lengthy history.
- The Brandenburg Gate was one of 18 city gates built in the late 18th century at the end of the promenade "Unter den Linden."
- It is now the only city gate, attracting millions of visitors each year.
- Berlin's most famous monument is the Quadriga, a chariot drawn by four horses and driven by Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory.
- This theme can also be found in our hometown's Austrian Parliament in Vienna.

BERLIN DÖNER
- Aside from the sights and history, what should be avoided? Of course, there will be a snack break.
- And which gastronomic highlight in Berlin should not be missed? Of course, the Berlin Döner (doner kebab)!
- Anyone who has had a doner kebab in Berlin knows no other city with a diverse menu and flavours.
- There's something for everyone here, from classic kebabs to veggie kebabs to vegan kebabs.
- Döner Turm in Moabit, Mustafa's Gemüsekebap in Kreuzberg, and Vöner in Friedrichshain are among our favourites. So make sure you try the "Döner" in Berlin!
BERLIN MEMORIAL TO THE MURDERED JEWS OF EUROPE
- When writing about Berlin, it is impossible to disregard the city's history, which is prevalent throughout the city.
- This is located between the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz and is one of Berlin's most important monuments.
- The memorial, which has an undulating shape and covers about 20,000 square metres, honours Europe's slaughtered Jews.
- The drab steles and twisting lanes symbolise their misery and powerlessness at the time.
- Even though history is dismal, it is critical today not to forget the past's horrific events and address them.

Berlin Culture and Traditions
- Germany has a rich and distinguished history that has seen it at the forefront of European ideas and art for over a thousand years.
- This past has formed a culture that mixes predominantly Christian beliefs with literature, art, philosophy, logic, reason, and a fondness for beer and sausages.
- Berlin is regarded as a global hub for the arts and creative sectors.
- Numerous cultural institutions, many of which are well-known internationally, are showcasing the city's rich legacy.
- The city attracts many young people, cultural entrepreneurs, and foreign artists.
- Volatility is the theme of Berlin. Its identity is founded on change rather than stability.
- No other city has fluctuated between being so strong and being so weak.
- Few cities have produced as many artists or been the scene of many homicides.
- It is a village-based capital. It is a city where the past looms large.
- Its urban legends, both real and imagined, include: Lenin and Bowie's heroes sharing a coffee shop; Wim Wenders' angels in trench coats soar above a torch-lit Nazi procession; George Grosz and Speer both create myths on the same canvas; Dietrich and Sally Bowles browse the KaDeWe, and George Smiley in le Carré watches the crowded trains heading to Auschwitz.

Berlin: Food, Fun & Fashion Guide
Wilhelm Hoeck 1892
#food
- One of West Berlin's most upscale restaurants, Wilhelm Hoeck 1892, is the place to go if you want to experience German class.
- But they're also well-known for offering blutwurst, often black pudding.
- Although it's not everyone's cup of tea, if you plan to stay in Berlin for more than a few days, it's worth trying since it's a significant component of German cuisine.
- Even if you don't eat the blutwurst, the atmosphere in the restaurant itself is worth going to.
Schnitzel
#food
- With a delightfully soft and crispy flavour, it's easy to see why this is Germany's most worldwide cuisine.
- Although almost every German restaurant serves the Schnitzel, a true Schnitzel connoisseur knows that there are worlds between a regular Schnitzel and one prepared and cooked by a pro.
- They are also aware that, like many other delicacies from German cuisine, the best Schnitzel cooks are typically Austrian, which makes sense given that the Schnitzel isn't a German dish but a direct import from our neighbours in Austria.
- The "Wiener Schnitzel," produced from a veal escalope that has been hammered to a thickness of about 4 mm, is the premium version of the Schnitzel, and it is deep-fried in oil, butter, or schmalz.
- But in a country where people love their pigs, like Germany, the pork version is much more popular than the veal one, and even chicken occasionally appears.
Curry 36
#food
- In Berlin, Curry 36 is so well-known that some even refer to it as "practically a World Heritage site."
- Additionally, this is one of Berlin's best and only locations to find veggie currywurst.
- The original, bio or veggie currywurst is among the most well-known German sausages in the entire globe.
- Enjoy biting into one of these delectable treats.
- They even assert that Tom Hanks arrived and enjoyed the sausages.
Bikini Berlin
#fashion
- Bikini Berlin is significantly more than simply another City West shopping mall.
- The Bikinihaus, located near Zoo-Palast, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, and the Waldorf Astoria, houses several stores and shops that do not yet have a strong presence in Berlin or even Germany. Large chain stores were purposefully excluded from the concept.
- The "Bikini Berlin Boxes" are one of the mall's unique attractions.
- These 19 modular wooden boxes provide leaseholders with a unique exhibition space that may be utilised for various presentations.
- The listed building's 7.000 square metres planted rooftop terrace, which provides visitors with a direct view into the Berlin Zoo enclosures, is a magnificent centrepiece.
- The Zoo Palast Berlin, an excellent cinema for opening evenings, and the 25hours Hotel were among the classified areas of the 1950s structure.
- The moniker "Bikini" came from the original structure and is optically divided into two parts.
- Architects Paul Schwebes and Hans Schoszberger designed and built the Bikini Haus as a visual hallmark of a new, dynamic, and innovative way of living.
ALEXA Shopping Centre
#fashion
- ALEXA offers the most shopping choice in Berlin, with 180 unique boutiques!

- Many people are drawn to the large Media Market, which hosts frequent autograph sessions with celebrities such as Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran, Joss Stone, and Beatsteaks.
- Add in amenities like personal shopping and free WiFi and a gastronomic variety that includes everything from well-known brands like McDonald's, Subway, and Nordsee & Co. to smaller businesses like Aljonka, which sells Russian delicacies or Wonderpot, which serves Berlin's best-frozen yoghurt.
Boulevard Berlin
#fashion
- Only on Boulevard Berlin can you find Hollister and Zara Home stores in Berlin.
- With the only Primark store in Berlin, located in the nearby S.C.C., the Steglitz district has become a popular shopping destination.
- The very exclusive cosmetic products of M.C. or Logona & Friends, jewellery by Konplett, or the Boutique Personality Crisis, which only sells fair-trade clothing by young designers from Berlin and around the world.
- Although not all retail spaces have been filled yet, this shopping centre has potential.
Europa Park
#fun
- Europa Park is Germany's largest theme park and Europe's second most popular, attracting approximately six million people each year.
- It is 950.000 m2 in size and is located in Rust, in its southwest.
- The park first opened its doors in 1975 and presently has over 100 attractions.
- The park's most significant draw is the park's 15 European-themed zones, which showcase countries ranging from Iceland to Austria.
- However, the park isn't just about European countries; it also has areas like Adventure Land, where you can go on a lake adventure where can immerse yourself in classic Grimm fairy tales like Hansel and Gretel.
Movie Park Germany
#fun
- Movie Park Germany is a film-themed park in Bottrop-Kirchhellen, West Germany.
- As the name implies, this park is dedicated to movies and television series. Visitors can visit Bikini Bottom, ride a water slide with Dora the Explorer, or ride Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Flyer roller coaster to defy gravity.
- The park is divided into numerous sections, each with its attractions, such as the Hollywood Street Set and Santa Monica Pier, which feature rides like the Bermuda Triangle and the Crazy Surfer roller coaster.
- There is something for everyone, with courses created expressly for individuals seeking an adrenaline rush and those looking for a fun family activity.

- The Brückenmeisterei and the water tower, both built during the railway era, are still standing. From a distance, the 50-meter water tower serves as a symbol.
- It was built in 1927 and attracted visitors and photographs.
- It has been an illuminating show with its permanent illumination during the festival of lights.
- The former locomotive hall, which covers 400 square feet, has also stood the test of time.
- Experimental artists love the vast interior, which used to be where trains were fixed.
- The locomotive hall provides the freedom to be creatively active and try out new ideas, whether it is the avant-garde theatre of the Berliner Festspiele, dance and performance events produced by young artists, exposition or backdrop for ambitious films.
- The four-kilometre-long riverside path begins at Treptower Hafen, where pleasure boats provide rides along the Spree.
- The walk continues past well-kept houseboats before opening up to views of the Stralau peninsula, the Insel der Jugend, and people relaxing on the river on pedal boats.
- Treptower Park is a great area to spend the day.
- You can stroll down the riverfront path, over sunny lawns, past the rose garden, and along the shaded arcades of plane trees in the 84-hectare park.
- Treptower Park was a first for the city when it opened in 1888 as a public park open to all residents.
- The park was planned in the English style by Gustav Meyer, a student of Lenné.

- The festival's lineup is mainly focused on electronic music, including some of the most well-known names in German rap music and national rock and pop performers.
- The festival's headliners reflect this range, ranging from K.I.Z.'s caustic hip-hop and Sportfreunde Stiller's indie rock to Pan-underground Pot's techno and Alle Farben's mellow summer house.

- Since its entrance in 2014, the festival has become one of the most popular in the city, marking the brand's first step into Europe.
