- Although April to May is the best season to visit Minsk for various reasons, including the weather, the cost of transportation and lodging, and avoiding busy travel times, it is a popular destination all year round.

Minsk Off the Beaten Track
Independence Square
- This 70,000-square-meter square is one of Europe's largest.
- Many of Minsk's most notable buildings are located on Lenin Square, which was designed to hold military parades.
- These include the relatively desolate City Hall and the early twentieth-century Church of Saints Simon and Helena. This neo-gothic structure served as a cinema during the Soviet era.
